SREI Foundation Celebrates World Values Week

- Felicitates An Acid Attack Survivor On The Occasion -

 Kolkata. SREI Foundation organised an interactive session to commemorate ‘World Values Week’ at Shivananda Hall, Ramakrishna Mission Institute Of Culture, Gol Park today. Swami Suparnananda Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Kolkata, Dr. H.P Kanoria, Chairman SREI Foundation, Dr Debanjan Chakrabarti, Director East & North - East, British Council India, Mr Anil Grover, Founder Chairman, Atmatva Foundation, Ms Joeeta Basu, Teacher Representative, St. Xaviers' Collegiate School and Dr Rahul Varma, President, SREI Foundation were present and addressed the audience. Ms Mayna Pramanik, an acid attack survivor was felicitated on the occasion.

 World Values Day was first celebrated in India on 17th October, 2016 by SREI Foundation. This campaign has been sustained by Royal Society of Arts UK, The UK Value Alliance, PWC and Co-operatives UK, and dozens of other organizations large and small all over the world. World Values Day is truly becoming a global day of observance and activities have already started in over 100 countries to celebrate this day to inspire and motivate people about values and their importance.

 “Values are the core of what makes us, the fundamental things that need to be present in our lives for us to feel happy. Celebrating World Values Week gives us an opportunity to reflect on the values we hold and how they become practical in our life. Nowadays it’s truly becoming a global initiative. As we are celebrating the day, we are really hopeful that people can relate and try to get encouraged about the Values. SREI Foundation has been working closely with like-minded organizations and nothing could be more appropriate than organizing this event at the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture which has always been a great platform for inspiring and motivating all”, said Dr HP Kanoria, Chairman, SREI Foundation.

“The 2018 Campaign reached more than 41 million people in 100 countries through Twitter alone.

We hope to re-ignite the values in our society today which is getting lost over time”, said Dr. Rahul Varma, President, SREI Foundation.

 People all over the world is supporting this Initiative by holding conferences, meetings, workshops on Values based activities.
